Visiting the Capital of Toba Samosir, Balige

How to Get There
From Medan, you can use either a private or rented car. You can directly head to Balige from Kualanamu Airport or main city. The trip takes about 6-7 hours. From Batam, you need to use an airplane. The destination is Silangit Airport. From this airport, you may continue the journey to Balige. It takes about 30 minutes. If you come from Jakarta, you can use Garuda Indonesia Airlines. There is a direct flight to Toba Lake. It takes about 3 hours from Soetta Airport.
